The Reporter aims to keep you informed about what is going on in your community, from local events to crime, sport and what your council is getting up to in the area.
With a large community, an airport and regional hospital in the area, there are plenty of stories to tell.
If you have a story for the Reporter or an event you would like us to publicise, email us today.

Plans are well underway for Wythenshawe's Garden City Festival on September 17 which promises to be a great day out for all the family.
There will also be a chance to win free flights for a family from easyJet, for its new Manchester to Bilbao route. A second prize of a free Haven holiday for a family will also be drawn on the day.
Visitors could find themselves involved with a fantasy of impromptu street theatre
courtesy of ‘Larking About’, a Zumba session or making friends with owls. In keeping with event themes – even travel around the event is ‘green’! Visitors can choose to walk of course, or board the donkey carriage at one of the ‘donkey stops’ around the zones.
Food lover or not; there will be something to appeal to everyone and to celebrate
British Food Fortnight (17 September to 2 October) – with cooking demonstrations throughout the day, local produce from Wythenshawe Market and tasters from local producers. Celebrity chef Robert Kisby shows us his inventive approach to ‘quick and easy midweek meals’ in his masterclass, along with some interactive fun for the audience.
For gardenig enthusiasts there will be Q&A sessions with Simon Tetlow from Tatton Park’s gardening team, watch the composting demonstration from Manchester Organic Gardeners, admire vegetable displays or get top tips from the National Vegetable Society and local horticultural societies.
Over at the Forum, the craft village includes ceramics, woodwork, calligraphy, local crafts and workshops to keep the younger ones occupied.
And there are animal handling sessions from Jungle Trex, an educational and
entertaining show about animals and their habitats including reptiles, mini beasts and exotic creatures.
Forum Square also hosts the Pet Show – for cats and small caged animals – in
association with Baguley Veterinary Centre.
