PE high flyers make a splash

PE high flyers from Saint Paul’s Catholic High School in Wythenshawe who have achieved high attendance records were rewarded with a chance to try their hands at canoeing.
The group of pupils visited Debdale Water Park for a three hour canoeing experience, organised as a PE taster session and aimed to take the pupils out of their comfort zone.
“The session at Debdale Water Park was a challenging, rewarding and exciting experience,” explained Mr Mike Whiteside, PE teacher at Saint Paul’s. “It fostered good team building and positive attitudes and gave the pupils a sense of personal achievement.”
“I was pleased to see how well the pupils responded to being outside their comfort zone, an experience like this adds a whole new dimension to their learning,” commented Mr Wiktor Daron, Head Teacher at Saint Paul’s.
