Fatal Wythenshawe motorcycle collision: man released on police bail

Police are continuing to investigate a fatal motorcycle collision in Wythenshawe in which 67-year-old Jack Cabrera died at the weekend.

A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving has now been released and bailed until August 10 pending further enquiries.

The incident happened at 1.45pm on Friday 19 June 2015, on Rowlandsway.

Police say the rider of the bike which was in collision with Mr Cabrera fled the scene.

A 16-year-old bystander is believed to have stayed with Mr Cabrera at the scene until emergency services arrived.

Mr Cabrera was taken to the Salford Royal Hospital for treatment but later died.

A stolen Kawasaki 500cc motorbike was found abandoned at the scene.
