Schoolchildren are helping police to crackdown on irresponsible parking and speeding around St Aidans Primary School in Newall Green.
Following complaints from local residents and parents, PCSO Andrea Ball decided to recruit some mini officers to help her get the message out about road safety.
Pupils joined PCSO Ball on patrol around the school and spoke to parents to raise awareness of speeding and inconsiderate parking.
PCSO Andrea Ball said: “Road safety around schools is very important but drivers will only change their behaviour if they are aware of the consequences and who better to hear it from than a small child.
“The pupils thoroughly enjoyed being part of a process that will make a difference to their safety and are a credit to their community.”
