Police have thanked the public for help in recovering three specially adapted bikes stolen from Wythenshawe Wheelers.
The three specialised tandems were part of a batch stolen from the charity, based at Wythenshawe Park, last week.
They were found in bushes off Yew Tree Lane in Northenden on Sunday 1 September 2013 and have been returned to the group.
Inspector Debbie Weake said: “The three bikes were spotted in some bushes on Yew Tree Lane yesterday by a member of the public.
“We’re grateful to the community for their support and would ask that they continue to keep their eyes and ears open and call us with any information that could help us locate the outstanding bikes and identify the culprits.
“We will continue to patrol the Northenden and Brooklands areas to look for the bikes but if you spot anything please get in touch.”
Sometime between 2.30pm on Wednesday 28 August 2013 and 7am on Thursday 29 August 2013, the offenders entered the running track area of the park and removed the padlocks from three containers.
They took several bikes from one of the containers belonging to community enterprise Wythenshawe Wheelers.
Several bikes have been recovered but 14 remain outstanding.
Anyone with information should call police on 0161 856 4882 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
