Second half goals secure quarter final cup place for Wythenshawe Town

Wythenshawe Town continued their excellent form with victory over Warrington Reserves to make it through to the quarter finals of the J A Walton Challenge Cup.

The game opened very scrappily with neither side managing to take a grip of the match. 16 minutes saw the first chance when Remmi Williams crossed the ball to the edge of the box where it was met by a Ben Connolly volley; the ball span just over the goal. A minute later after good work on the left wing, the ball was cut back to Lee McGregor who fired well over from far out. Wythenshawe Town 4 – 0 Witton Albion Reserves

Wythenshawe Town moved five points clear at the top of the Cheshire League 2 with two games in hand following another impressive victory.

Police worried about welfare of missing Northern Moor man

Jeremy SmithPolice are growing increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of Jeremy Smith rom Northern Moor, Wythenshawe.

Mr Smith, aged 46, was last seen at his home on Hindsford Close, Northern Moor at 8.25am on Friday 21st November 2014.
