Have you seen missing Darren Barnes from Woodhouse Park, Wythenshawe?

Darren Barnes1Police are appealing for the public’s help to find Woodhouse Park man, Darren Barnes.

Darren, who was last seen on Friday 5 October 2018 in Knutsford, Cheshire is white, and described as around 5ft7in tall, of stocky build with shaved brown hair and stubble.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt with ID Verge Logo, grey combat trousers, brown rigger work boots.

It is believed he could be driving a white 67 plate Mondeo.

Darren travels a lot around the North West, most notably Cheshire and Merseyside. It is believed he could have been in the Knutsford or Mere areas of Cheshire over the weekend.

His family are very concerned about his welfare and are appealing for his safe return home as soon as possible.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting the missing person reference number MP/18/0119797.

£20,000 reward offered to solve mystery of missing Martin Joyce

Detectives are offering a £20,000 reward in a hunt for the truth about Manchester man, Martin Joyce, who mysteriously disappeared nearly 20 years ago.  

Today (23 September 2018) would have been Martin Joyce’s 48th birthday. Back in September 1999 – when he was 29 – he gave his sister, Mary a lift before going to Ancoats for a night out. Little did she know that was the last time she’d ever see him. He had visited his other sister, Helen McDonagh a week earlier in Wythenshawe.

Nineteen years later, officers are no closer to finding out exactly what happened to Martin on that fateful night but information received a few years ago leads them to believe he was murdered after being assaulted at the Bank of England Pub. Concern for missing man last seen in Wythenshawe

Missing: Declan Leather

The family of  20-year-old Declan Leather, last seen in Wythenshawe more than a month ago, are becoming increasingly concerned about his welfare.

Declan is from Stretford and was last seen on November 2nd in Wythenshawe.

Police have issued an appeal for information about his whereabouts. He was wearing a black tracksuit with Nike bottoms and a Northface Jacket

A police spokesman said: “Declan may be sleeping rough or sofa surfing but we need to make contact to ensure he is safe and well.

“If you see Declan please ring 101 and quote ref MP/09/0044083”

UPDATE: Re Police appeal for information about Wythenshawe woman missing since Sunday night

Police are concerned about a woman who has been missing from her home in Wythenshawe since Sunday.

Gail Simpson, aged 32  was last seen at 7-46pm on Sunday 25th June 2017 leaving Roundthorn Metrolink Station in Wythenshawe.

She is described as being white, medium build, 5’4” tall with long brown hair tied up in a pony tail. She was last seen wearing a white & black blouse, black jeans, black jacket and black boots.

Gail has not been in contact with her family since Sunday evening and she did not turn up to work on Monday morning.

Police said: “They are understandably very worried about Gail as this is very out of character for her. We know that she had been for a drink in Chorlton before getting the Metrolink to Roundthorn.”
