There were very mixed fortunes for Wythenshawe’s football clubs this weekend, with Amateurs throwing away a two goal lead to suffer defeat and Town notching up double figures in an incredible goal-fest.
Wythenshawe Town shrugged off a mid-week defeat to Avro to win 11-3 away to Eccleshall in what turned out to be a stunning performance.

There was much respect for Wythenshawe Amateurs when they visited News Mills on Friday night. Ammies looked to have it in the bag when they took a two goal lead. But it was the hosts who were to take the spoils after staging an impressive come-back to win 3-2.
