Police are investigating the rape of a woman in Wythenshawe.
At around 4am on Sunday 5 July 2015, it was reported to police that a 25-year-old woman had been raped.
A crime scene has subsequently been established in the Wythenshawe Park.The investigation is on going.
DS Chris Maddocks, of Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Sexual Offences Unit said: “I understand that residents will be understandably concerned about this incident, but I would like to reassure them that we will have extra patrols in the area.
“Specialist officers are supporting the victim through this difficult time.
“We are appealing for witnesses to come forward and assist detectives with their enquiries.
“If you were in the area at the time of the attack, or believe you saw anything you think might be relevant please contact police as a matter of urgency.”
