A man has been arrested in connection with two shootings in Wythenshawe.
The 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding and attempted murder respectively and remains in custody for police questioning.
The arrest relates to two shootings – at Mountain Ash pub in Woodhouse Park and a house in Newall Green.
Police were called shortly before 9.25pm on Thursday 23 July 2015 to the Woodhouse Park pub to a report of a shooting.
A 29-year-old man had been shot in the leg.
At around 1am on Saturday 1 August 2015, police were called to an address on Foxlair Road, Wythenshawe, following reports that a man had discharged a firearm through the front door of the property.
The offender then fled towards Simonsway.
An 18-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to both legs. Both men are continuing to recover from their injuries.
