Greater Manchester Police is urging residents to light up their homes and keep burglars well and truly out in the dark this winter.
The clocks go back on Sunday 28th October 2018 which marks the start of darker nights for neighbourhoods up and down the country.

A 14-year-old girl was threatened with a gun and a man attacked with an axe during a robbery at their family home in Wythenshawe.
Police are hunting a man wanted in connection with a series of burglaries and an assault on a woman in Wythenshawe.
