Duchess of Cambridge to visit Wythenshawe school

Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge is to visit The Willows Primary School, Wythenshawe, on 23 April  according to media reports today.

The Duchess will launch a new school counselling programme at the school in Woodhouse Park. The programme is a partnership between the Royal Foundation, Comic Relief, Place2Be and Action on Addiction.

The programme combines Place2Be’s in-school counselling for children and parents with the expertise of Action on Addiction’s ‘Moving Parents and Children Together’ (M-PACT) programme.

The Willows is a school which has been working with Place2Be since 2010.

The Duchess will meet staff and volunteers from Place2Be, teachers and parents from The Willows and, privately, with children who have used the services of the charity.
