A man has appeared in court, charged in connection with a brawl at a pub in Newall Green, Wythenshawe in 2011.
Adam Hargrave, 27, was arrested in Spain after Greater Manchester Police secured a European Arrest Warrant to bring him back to the UK. He has been charged with two offences of section 18 assault and one offence of violent disorder.
The charges relate to an incident on Friday 4 February 2011, at the Eagle pub on Greenbrow Road, Newall Green.
A number of men entered the pub and demanded to be served as it was closing. When they were refused the landlord and a number of other people were assaulted.
On 6 June 2013, a judge issued a European Arrest Warrant in order for Hargrave to be detained within the EU.
On 26 August 2013 Hargrave was located in Marbella in Spain where he was detained by the Spanish police.
He was returned to Manchester on 16 September 2013 and has now been charged.
Two other men have previously been convicted of violent disorder in connection with the incident and have now served their sentences.
