X-Factor star switches on Xmas in Wythenshawe

X-Factor winner Matt Cardle will get everyone in the festive mood tonight (Friday November 29) when he turns on the Christmas lights in Wythenshawe town centre,

And Britain’s Got Talent stars Stavros Flatley will also add to the fun, bringing their special brand of dance comedy.

Cafes and shops are open late for the evening which will also feature special guests including Giles Potter, Henry Gallagher, Only the Young, Click 22 and up-and-coming band Ever Young.

And of course, Father Christmas will also be making a special appearance.


Having released their debut single ‘You Got Me’ in October this year, EverYoung are creating fan bases everywhere.

Hollie, Eyal, Jack and Cherelle met at school and have spent the last two years performing at schools, clubs and theatres around the country whilst writing their debut album.

Their first TV appearance was onLive with Fern Britton on Channel Five, and the group has already been interviewed on numerous local radio stations.

“We are having such a great time and every experience is even better than the last.” says Cherelle. More recently, the band has appeared on BBC London and have been featured in well known publications such as the London Evening Standard and Teen Now.

EverYoung spent the summer in the studio as well as performing at Pride festivals before continuing their schools tour which started in September.

They also joined Matt Cardle at Live On The Square in Cheshire in support of the Andrew Flintoff Foundation. Now, we can look forward to EverYoung’s Christmas performances and their next single which will be released early in 2014.
