The Wythenshawe Games ended with a weekend of fun and frolics at Wythenshawe Park on August 2.

Young people from the Brighter Sound initiative were in Wythenshawe Hall performing familiar and new songs with songwriter Jennifer Reid singing her Ballad of Wythenshawe Hall, written base on contributions from young visitors to the hall.

There was a blast from the past in the tenants’ hall as Sisters in Song performed classics from the 1940s.

There were also cake stalls and refreshments in the park and displays from the Vale Royal Falconry group.
