Woman hit by stolen car now in stable condition

The condition of a 79-year-old woman seriously injured after being hit by a stolen car in Northern Moor, Wythenshawe, has improved.

Police say, the woman, who was hit by a stolen VW Golf as she was crossing Sale Road on Saturday evening, is now in a stable condition in Wythenshawe Hospital.

Three men who were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and burglary are still in police custody.

Woman, 79, critical after collision with stolen car

RTAPolice are appealing for witnesses after a 79-year-old woman was left in a critical condition when she was hit by a stolen car in Northern Moor.

The stolen VW Golf  with the registration number ending FNM collided with the woman as she crossed Sale Road at around 6.45pm on Saturday 9 April 2016, after it had been pursued by police.

Police worried about welfare of missing Northern Moor man

Jeremy SmithPolice are growing increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of Jeremy Smith rom Northern Moor, Wythenshawe.

Mr Smith, aged 46, was last seen at his home on Hindsford Close, Northern Moor at 8.25am on Friday 21st November 2014.

Machete-wielding Wythenshawe robbers who terrorised shop worker are jailed

Two Wythenshawe men have been jailed after threatening a shop worker in Northern Moor with a machete during a robbery.

Wythenshawe grandmother of tragic Jade calls for action on dangerous dogs

Jade LomasThe grandmother of Jade Lomas Anderson who was mauled to death by dogs has called for urgent action on dangerous dogs.

Kathleen Holden, from Northern Moor, has called for a change in the law to prevent attacks by dangerous dogs and is backed by Wythenshawe MP, Paul Goggins.
