Wythenshawe man wanted in connection with stabbing

Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace this man, wanted in connection with a stabbing in Wythenshawe. 

Officers want to speak to Callum Moore, aged 23, of Desmond Road, Wythenshawe in connection with the stabbing at a property on Woodhouse Lane, Benchill shortly after 3.40am on Sunday 6 January.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his stomach.

He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Moore is known to have links with the Wythenshawe area and members of the public are advised not to approach him.

Anyone with information about Moore’s whereabouts is asked to contact police on 0161 856 6153 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

Man in court over attack on Wythenshawe doctor

Man questioned by police after woman is stabbed in Wythenshawe

A woman is in a critical condition after being stabbed in Shadowmoss Road, Wythenshawe. 

At around 1.05am this morning, Sunday 30 October 2016, police were called to a report that a 30-year-old woman had been stabbed numerous times at the junction of  Shadowmoss Road and Cornishway.

She was taken to hospital with multiple stab wounds and injuries to her head and neck. She remains in a critical condition.

Officers attended and a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody for questioning.

Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Inspector Tony Lea of GMP’s City of Manchester Team, said: “Sadly a woman is in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in the early hours of the morning.

“We have a man in custody in connection with the stabbing but we still need witnesses to come forward and help us with the investigation.

“I’m urging anyone who may witnessed the incident or has any information, to get in contact with us as soon as possible.”

Wythenshawe stab victim leaves hospital as police make new appeal for witnesses

A man who was stabbed in Benchill has been discharged from hospital as police make a fresh appeal for witnesses to the incident.

The 25-year-old victim has left hospital following the attack last weekend in which he received a single stab wound to the chest and is receiving ongoing care to aid his recovery.
