Man charged with assaulting baby girl in Baguley Tesco

385697146_174cdd460a_mA 63-year-old man has been charged with assaulting a five-day-old girl at at Tesco’s Baguley store in Wythenshawe.

David Hardy, of Longfield Road, Baguley, was bailed to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on October4

The alleged incident happened at the Tesco store on Altrincham Road in Baguley at about 6.45pm  on Monday.

It was reported that baby Elsie Rose was punched in the head when her mother, Amy Duckers was showing her off to friends at the store.

The baby girl was taken to hospital as a precaution and has been discharged.

Details have now been released of a robbery at Tesco in Baguley last weekend, revealed in the Wythenshawe Reporter on Monday.

 

Police are appealing for witnesses after robbers armed with sledge-hammers raided the store on Altrincham Road shortly before 10pm on Sunday 10 April.

Reports of armed robbery at Tesco in Baguley

Tesco in Baguley, Wythenshawe was the victim of an armed robbery last night according to reports on social media.

The Greater Manchester Police helicopter was mobilised and was hovering over the Altrincham Road area at about 10pm.

One Tesco worker, who was not on duty last night, commenting on GMP Wythenshawe’s Facebook page, said colleagues had been shaken up by the incident but no-one was injured.

GMP have not yet provided details of the incident.

Armed robbers strike at Tesco store in Baguley Wythenshawe

Customers at Tesco in Baguley were subjected to a terrifying ordeal when armed robbers struck.

Witnesses said men dressed in balaclavas stormed the store on Altrincham Road, Wythenshawe at 11am today (Nov 4).

One witness said the men demanded cash from the safe and from the foreign currency booth.

The men then sped away in a waiting car.

No-one was seriously hurt in the incident,  although one woman  is believed to have been taken to hospital as a precaution.

The store was closed this afternoon and cordoned off by police as they carried out their investigations.
