Toddler fights for life after collision with taxi in Sharston

A two-year-old girl is in a critical condition after a collision with a taxi Wythenshawe.

At about 12.15pm on Friday 25 July 2014, police were called by the ambulance service following reports that the two-year-old girl and a silver Ford Focus estate had collided on Crossacres, Sharston.

The young girl suffered a serious head injury and has been taken to Manchester Children’s Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

Specially-trained officers are providing support to the family and an investigation has been launched.
