Brave sexual assault victim praised by police after Wythenshawe man is jailed

BarnesA 79-year-old Wythenshawe man has been jailed after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a four year-old girl in the 1990s.

Kenneth Barnes  of Selstead Road in Wythenshawe was today sentenced to nine-years in prison after being found guilty of seven counts of sexual assault at a previous court hearing .

His victim, who was four and five years-old and in foster care when she was sexually assaulted and orally raped by Barnes, came forward years later and reported him to police having been traumatised by his behaviour. Man appears in court charged with Wythenshawe sex assaults

A man has been charged after two sexual assaults in Wythenshawe.

Teenager arrested in connection with sexual assault in Wythenshawe is released on police bail

A 19-year-old arrested on suspicion of a sexual assault in Wythenshawe has been released by police.

Police released the teenager on bail while they continue to investigate reports of a sexual assault on a 17-year-old girl shortly after 11.20pm on Wednesday 24 October 2013 on Wythenshawe Road. Wythenshawe police hunt sex beast after 40-year-old woman is raped in Woodhouse Park

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman in her forties was raped in the Woodhouse Park area of Wythenshawe last night.

The woman was walking  down a short ginnel just off Staithes Road,at about 8.20pm on Tuesday October 22 and as she walked onto the road, was grabbed by a man who pushed her behind some garages close to the ginnel and raped her.
